RECIPE: 30 Minute Chili-spiked Pecan Brownies!

We're all about baking ideas here at Nutkrack, and our photographer Amy has come up with a wild one here — mixing dark, rich brownies with the friendly heat of Firekracker pecans!
3/4 C butter
1 1/4 C white sugar
1/2 C unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 C flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 C milk
1 C chopped Firekracker pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Grease a 13x9 baking dish
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat
Remove from heat and add white sugar and cocoa powder. Mix well.
Add eggs and vanilla, lightly until just combined.
In a separate bowl add flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir to combine.
Add the dry mixture to the chocolate mixture.
Stir in milk until well blended.
Add chopped Firekracker!
Pour mixture into greased 13 x 9 pan.
Bake for 15 -18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownies comes out clean.
Let cool and enjoy!
Cheat recipe... add 1 cup of chopped Firekracker pecans to your favorite boxed brownie mix :)
